Of Fish, Flies, Dogs, and Women By Timothy R. Montes

  The story starts when the woman tells her miserable life before achieving success to the flat character Mana Biben. She sells fish with her foot with in her town because she was afraid with the market place competition. Courage and Strength of Women is the focus of the whole story in flashback. The Fish symbolizes the woman, dogs as husband, problems and Flies represents as Gossips and struggles. However, this story will tell the readers how the woman had become successful by selling fish on foot by going through a lot of obstacles and it also depicts that if fear takes over u and listening to gossips attain nothing. This literature piece demonstrates that being in burden or misery is not the end of your line in life, but being hardworking, smart and fearless will lead you somewhere to success you don’t usually expect. .

The Use of Force by William Carlos Wiliam

  From the story, the difficulties that people have towards separating their emotions and standards represents William. The doctor’s behavior towards the girl and the young patient’s reaction lay emphasis on the focus of this literature. However, the use of attitude, the narrator portrays his character as a credible doctor in the story. The character of both the patient and the doctor reveal a possible issue comparable in real life. During this period there is an epidemic of diphtheria, which worsens the situation forcing the doctor to take aggressive measures in treating his patient. Revealed through his words, the doctor first tries kindness but when he failed he resorts to using force. His use of force on the patient cannot be condoned as he was compelled by his emotions, and that is not what a doctor does, he failed to maintain his composure. He broke his own standards, followed his emotions and hurt the child, even though he was saving her life.

  Stories commonly have moral lessons or a plot for all ages. “Touch move” written by Peter Mayshle has an explicit topic and starts with a person and Roman playing chess. The story begins were the siblings are playing chess. The queen chess piece is the most privileged piece of each color it represents females in a society. As they were playing chess Roman’s brother started telling story about a woman on what he experienced in the night of August when typhoon is whipping down and got Roman distracted in the game. This literary work wants to us to know that innocence could help you to walk straightly to your aim but curiosity could be your distraction but in the end as you realize and applied wisdom it would lead you to the right path.
